Park Fanes Senes Braies

The Park Fanes Senes Braies covers an area of \u200b\u200b25,680 hectares and is surrounded by seemingly insurmountable cliffs, dense forests that overhang.

The park extends west to the Val Badia, in the north to Plaetzwiese and Pusteria, east to the Val di Landro and south to Val Travenanzes.

Within this chain of mountains opens up a magical world: Fanes Alpe, Alpe di Senes, Fosses and the Alpe di Prato Piazza.

Large forest consists mainly of spruce, pine cimbro, Scots pine and larch. The woods grow shrubs such as blueberry and red rhododendron . Higher when the forest is more often found large areas covered with pine . These forests are inhabited by deer, martens, foxes, ermine, hare Alpine, the nutcrackers and sometimes you can spot some birds of prey like the hawk and the goshawk .

In areas further downstream dominate the big pasture land where they grow many species of plants as arnica, gentian, orange the radichella and many other species.
