The Renaissance is a period of Italian history during which all pre-unitary states were combined into a single state called the Kingdom of Italy.
Risorgimento also means the cultural movement, which promoted political and social unification , referring to the ideal of romantic and nationalist identity uniform.
The beginning of the Risorgimento as a movement, took place immediately after the end of Napoleon and the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the annexation of the Papal States and to move the capital to Rome in February 1871.
