San Pancrazio in Val d'Ultimo is the first country and the largest town in the Val d'Ultimo low (10 km from Lana). In the background at left are the peaks of Monte Luco, and Cima del Monte Corniculum Cornicoletto. The Valley Falkomai (with the Rio Church) and the Marano Valley (Morona and Rio) come together here in the main valley. From the center of the Gothic bell tower rising octagonal dome 56 feet high . The parish church of St Pancras is the most Old Val d'Ultimo. in the eleventh century it became property of the monastery of Weingarten who exercised a right of sovereignty also landed on many farms in the area.
The church of San Sebastian: the chapel of two floors featuring a beautiful baroque altar was built in memory of the victims of the plague. An inscription in German reads: "This chapel was restored as a votive offering against the epidemic of plague in the year 1636, at the time of Caspar Ampasen pastor, killed 460 people in this place."
